A Full-Circle Love Story: Ava & Tommy’s Narragansett Engagement Session

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a couple in places that hold the roots of their story. Ava and Tommy’s engagement session felt like coming full circle — revisiting where it all began and ending where the ocean meets the shore, calm and timeless, just like their love.

Where It All Began

We started their engagement session on the college campus where Ava and Tommy first met. The University of Rhode Island, the place that unknowingly set the foundation for the life they’re now building together. Walking through familiar paths, brick buildings, and open green spaces, it was easy to see how comfortable they are together. Every laugh, every glance, carried the ease of two people who have grown side by side over the years.

This campus isn’t just a backdrop, it’s part of their story. It’s where friendship turned into something deeper. Photographing them here felt nostalgic and meaningful, grounding their session in authenticity and shared history.

Their connection is effortless, playful and deeply rooted. Ava and Tommy have a way of being fully present with each other, making even quiet moments feel significant. Those in-between interactions… the soft smiles, the natural laughter…are always my favorite to capture, because they tell the real story.

Sandy Shores & Coastal Romance

From campus, we made our way to the coast, ending their session along the sandy shores of Narragansett Beach. The shift in scenery felt symbolic, from the place where it all started to the open horizon ahead of them.

The beach brought a softness to their session: ocean air, gentle waves, and that unmistakable Rhode Island coastal glow. Ava’s hair caught the breeze, Tommy pulled her close, and everything slowed down in the most beautiful way. There’s something about the ocean that invites reflection and connection — and these two fit right into it.

As the light softened and the shoreline stretched endlessly behind them, their love felt grounded, steady, and full of anticipation for what’s next. It was the perfect ending to a session that honored both their past and their future.
