Amanda & Ryan’s Newport Engagement Session | Cliff Walk to Easton Beach

Amanda and Ryan’s engagement session in Newport was everything we love about coastal New England; effortless, romantic, and filled with genuine joy. From historic campus paths to ocean cliffs and sandy shores, their session felt like a perfect reflection of who they are together: playful, deeply connected, and completely at ease with one another.

We met at the beautiful Salve Regina University campus, a setting that immediately set the tone with its timeless architecture and sweeping ocean views. From there, we made our way to the iconic Newport Cliff Walk, strolling along the path as waves crashed below and grand seaside mansions lined the way. The weather could not have been more perfect… a bright, sunny day with just enough breeze to keep Amanda’s dress and hair dancing in the wind.

Ryan absolutely adores Amanda, and it shows in every interaction. When he spoke, she lit up instantly, laughing wholeheartedly, completely present, and radiating warmth. Amanda is truly a beam of light, and together, their chemistry is effortless and magnetic. Their session felt less like posing and more like spending time with two people who are best friends at heart.

As we walked along the cliffs, we chatted about their upcoming wedding at Lakeview Pavilion. Amanda shared how excited she is for the celebration, the energy, the dancing, and being surrounded by the people they love most. Ryan, with a soft smile, told us he’s most looking forward to seeing Amanda walk down the aisle toward him… a moment he’s clearly been picturing for some time.

Their connection has been years in the making. From becoming friends in high school to their first date over ice cream on National Ice Cream Day, their relationship has always been rooted in laughter and shared experiences. They love being outdoors, near the water, exploring new places together, and making homemade pizza; simple moments that reflect the strong foundation they’ve built Amanda.

After finishing along the Cliff Walk, we hopped in the car and headed to Easton Beach for the final part of their session. The sandy shores and splashing waves created the perfect playful ending, barefoot moments, wind in their hair, and the kind of laughter that feels completely unposed and real.
