A Love Story Rooted in Laughter, Music, and Faith

Megan and Eli’s connection runs deep, built on shared values, curiosity, and a joy that feels steady and sincere. They first met in college through a church group on campus, where Megan served as student president and Eli joined as a grad student. During a chaotic moment loading a bus for a fall retreat, Eli cracked a perfectly timed joke that made Megan laugh… a small moment that changed everything. Weeks later, after discovering their shared love of jazz (Charlie Parker, to be exact), Eli asked for Megan’s number without hesitation. The rest, as they say, is history.Their first date set the tone for the relationship they’ve continued to build: a freezing January night spent inside Eli’s apartment, where he cooked dinner, played jazz from his grandfather’s old CD collection, and talked late into the night about faith, music, and life. Six hours passed without them noticing… it was the kind of date that leaves you feeling both giddy and deeply seen.

That same ease and emotional connection was so present during their engagement session. The way they naturally lean toward one another, laugh easily, and hold space for both joy and tenderness was perfection and such a joy to capture.

A Proposal Straight Out of a Love Story

The moment almost happened at EPCOT… sitting on a bench at sunset overlooking the World Showcase, champagne in hand, as fireworks from Magic Kingdom sparkled in the distance. Megan had planned her outfit, butterflies were fluttering, and every time Eli reached for his beer, anticipation grew. And then… nothing. They walked off to Frozen Ever After, ringless. When they left Disney Megan was convinced the moment had passed.

Returning home Eli wasn’t finished.

The next day on New Year’s Eve, Eli told Megan to be ready early for their dinner plans. Instead of heading straight to dinner, he drove her to a quiet waterfront park in her hometown. From the trunk, he pulled out a cooler and picnic blanket, casually explaining they were just “appetizers.” Inside was a carefully curated charcuterie spread, a nod to one of their earliest dates.

As the sun dipped low over the water, Eli reached into the cooler one last time and pulled out the ring.

The proposal was intimate and deeply personal…just the two of them, surrounded by memories, intention, and love. Megan was so excited she couldn’t even cry, jumping up and down as the realization set in. Later, they celebrated with family, champagne, dancing, and eventually ended the night exactly as themselves, in pajamas, eating cheesecake leftovers, watching the ball drop on the couch as fiancés.

A Dreamy June Engagement Session in the Lupine Fields of New Hampshire

June in New Hampshire is pure magic… especially when lupines are in bloom, and Megan and Eli’s engagement session felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale.

We began their session in the heart of Franconia Notch, starting with a short hike up to a popular bluff overlooking the valley below. From the viewpoint, we were treated to sweeping views of Cannon Mountain and Echo Lake, the still waters framed by the surrounding peaks in the early summer light.

As we made our way along the trail, we had the best time getting to know Megan and Eli more deeply. Conversation flowed easily, from a shared love of all things Disney to an enthusiastic deep dive into Star Wars (a topic Andrew and Eli were very happy to explore). We also chatted about their upcoming wedding at the iconic Omni Mount Washington Resort and what they’re most excited for as they prepare for their next chapter together.

A setting straight out of a fairytale

Our second location brought us to a wide-open field of wild lupines in full bloom, overlooking the soft purple silhouettes of the Presidential Range. Here, Megan and Eli laughed, twirled, and soaked in golden-hour light as the sun dipped lower in the sky.

These moments felt joyful and unforced; full of movement, warmth, and genuine connection.

Twilight Vibes to End the Night

For our final stop, we found a hidden roadside field wrapped in towering pine trees. The mood shifted instantly… intimate, cinematic, and unmistakably Twilight-esque (a favorite of Megan’s, making it a must).

As the light faded, their connection deepened. These final images were romantic, moody, and timeless. It was the perfect closing chapter to a session that felt both adventurous and deeply personal.

Looking Ahead

From Disney magic and jazz-filled first dates to lupine fields and Twilight-inspired moments, Megan and Eli’s love story is layered with intention, joy, and heart. We cannot wait to continue telling their story at their Omni Mount Washington wedding… a celebration that’s sure to be just as meaningful as the journey that led them there.
