This Nautical wedding at Harbor Lights is one of my all time favorite weddings. Jamie and Bijan were married August 28th, at the beautiful Harbor Lights in Warwick, Rhode Island. Their waterfront wedding had all the elements of a gorgeous wedding day… an outdoor ceremony, thoughtful details, and of course a stunning waterfront backdrop for their nuptials.

How it all Began

Jamie and Bijian met through a mutual friend where their love grew and they found a common passion for traveling and exploring the outdoors. When Bijian was ready to pop the question, he whisked Jamie away to Iceland, where on a hike on top of a beautiful mountain, Bijian asked her to spend the rest of their lives together.

The Wedding Day

The room was full of excitement while Jamie was getting ready. She and her bridesmaids had the cutest silk pj’s to get ready in. Before getting into her dress Jamie was surprised by her bridesmaids who had designed a small album of all the amazing times they had together for her to look through before she walked down the aisle.

Jamie looked truly stunning in her Essence of Australia dress, the lace detail framed her beautifully.

The girls wore the most beautiful mint colored dresses from Show me your mumu. Every maid had her own personal look. I love how Jamie honored her sister (her maid of honor), by allowing her to stand out in a different color of dusty rose.

One of the things that stood out to me about Jamie and Bijan were how thoughtful and sentimental they both were. They decided to do a card exchange before seeing each other at their first look. Can we talk about how sweet it is when a groom gets teary-eyed while ready the card from his future bride?

A First Look and Outdoor Ceremony at Harbor Lights

My favorite first look location at Harbor Lights is down by the docks, it has a nice nautical feel and dreamy lighting. The Bride and Groom shared a sweet moment alone. Their first look was intimate and filled with emotion. Seeing Jamie, Bijan teared up and smiled as he twirled her around.

The outdoor ceremony overlooking the harbor was the perfect backdrop for their nuptials. On the Lawn white chairs lined the aisle. The guest found their seats adorned with loose rose petals for tossing during the recessional. The white hydrangeas and pink roses designed by Les Isle Rose transformed the outdoor space into a romantic garden.

The Reception

The reception was filled with personal touches from the photos of all their adventures together, to their favorite snack, salt water taffy. “Happiness comes in love, the sea, and salt water taffy.”

Speaking of delicious treats, the cupcake display from Sugar Mama’s Bakery did not disappoint. There unique flavored cupcakes were every bit as delicious as they were pretty. The guests had their choice of flavors like Cup of Joe, Whipped Oreo, and Sangria.

Harbor Lights reception space, boast the amazing harbor views. The tablescapes dressed up the room with sweet centerpieces made of fresh hydrangeas and pink roses.

The bride and groom entered and the room erupted with cheer. Bijan scooped Jamie into his arms and lifted her into a spin that ended with a dramatic dip. The remainder of the evening was filled with smiles, toasts, laughter and LOTS of dancing! It was a party that their guests will never forget! #TheNeuestMangouri
