Glen Manor House

Glen Manor House is a historical mansion located in Portsmouth RI, and is known as one of Rhode Island’s more intimate and romantic wedding venues. This stunning mansion, surrounded by lush private gardens, was built in 1923 and features beautiful architecture and breathtaking views of the Sakonnet River. The beauty of the mansion and the grounds can be found all around. Whether you are celebrating inside the old world mansion, enjoying cocktails on the Al Fresco patio or exchanging vows on the waterfront lawn, this fairytale setting offers the perfect backdrop for your magical and memorable wedding experience.

Event Spaces:  

Glen Manor House offers several unique spaces for your big day. Celebrations can span the length of the venue space, utilizing the dining room, ballroom, terrace, and library in addition to the lawn and gardens, weather permitting. There are multiple dressing rooms that can be used by the bridal party. Between May to October the event space can accommodate up to 175. 

The Mansion: The French inspired chateau is lavishly decorated with a marble fireplace and understated molding. The oversized windows in the main dining room let ample natural light into the space, making your wedding decor really sparkle. 

The Lawn and Gardens: 

With views of the Sakonnet River the Grounds at Glen Manor are meticulously cared for and provide a private oasis for a romantic garden ceremony, and swoon worthy portraits that resemble those from a storybook.  

The Outdoor Terrace: 

Glen Manor is famous for its beautiful outdoor covered terrace that features elegant arching architecture and stunning views of the grounds and river. 

Catering: The Glen Manor House partners exclusively with Russell Morin Catering & Events for all catering services. 

Investment: Investment levels vary. The estimated starting investment for a wedding with 100 guests to be between $8,000 and $10,000. 

Thing to know: 

• Glen Manor House allows for only one event per day. ​​Function hours are for any five-hour period between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
• The Town of Portsmouth requires a uniformed Portsmouth Police Officer to be hired to handle traffic, parking and security. The Officer is required to be present one hour in advance and remain one hour after the function or until all guests have left and the Manor House is secured for the night.
• Overnight accommodations are not available at Glen Manor, however there are several nearby hotels that can accommodate you and your wedding guests.
