Blithewold Mansion

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum is an estate wedding venue located in Bristol Rhode Island. This historical mansion was originally built in the 19th century and has become an iconic landmark for the coastal community of Bristol RI. Known for its lush gardens overflowing with flowering blooms and the beautifully preserved waterfront mansion, Blithewold is a popular venue choice for couples looking for an elegant and intimate setting to tie the knot. 

Event Space:

With over 33 acres of manicured grounds, Blithewold offers beauty at every turn, providing several noteworthy spaces that will make your special day feel like something out of a storybook. 

The North Garden: 

Ceremonies are held in the beautiful North Garden adjacent to the Mansion. The garden offers views of the great lawn and Narragansett Bay in a perfectly intimate setting. 

The Mansion, Terrace and Covered Porch: 

Following the ceremony you and your guests are welcomed to enjoy cocktails within the turn-of-the-century Mansion. You will also have access to the terrace, two covered porches, and of course the gardens.

The Great Lawn Tent:

The reception takes place under a white 40’ x 100’ Century Wedding Tent and in the newly constructed wedding pavilion. The tent is situated next to Linden Grove and overlooks the expansive Great Lawn, while the wedding pavilion provides easy-access restrooms and a private bridal room. The Tent is suitable for celebrations with up to 225 guests. 

Catering:

Blithewold proudly partners with Blackstone Caterers as their exclusive caterer. Known for their exquisite food, impressive presentation and unwavering service for nearly 80 years, Blackstone delivers an exceptional experience for you and your guests. 

Investment:

Investment levels vary depending on the time of year and the day of the week. The starting range for reception fees are listed below. These prices are subject to change, please be sure to check with the venue directly for the most up to date pricing information.

May- October 2024

Fridays: $10,995
Saturdays and Holiday Sundays May and October: $12,995
Saturdays and Holiday Sundays June-September: $16,495
Special! Non-holiday Sundays and Weekdays: $7,995

Thirty-minute wedding ceremonies in the North Garden (Includes white garden chairs and staffing): $1,500
Thirty-minute ceremony rehearsal: $350
